Thanks to the responses of the group we have managed to disassemble the 
nosegear strut on my Forney. As we  looked over the parts and compared 
to the Skyport Supplemented Parts catalogue it was apparent that 
several  items were NOT present in my aircraft. Specifically the upper 
bushing, the inside tube and the spacer tube. My question is: Since the 
third generation lower bushing is somewhat longer than the earlier 
versions is there any possibility that these parts have been eliminated 
as un-necessary?
I was also intrigued to note that the lower bushing was glued in rather 
than secured with the requisite screws. Amazing what one can find when  
you look close enough.
