To change the subject - when flying our Coupe I noticed a steady blast
of cold air coming from under the panel, normally where the fresh air
comes into the cabin. Seeems the fresh air cable has bound in the guide
and has opened the flap. I tried to close it on the ground but no luck.
Looking at the cowl from the front there are the 2 large cylinder
holes, below that another opening and below that an opening with an air
filter inside. To the left of these openings there is a small round
opening about an inch and half in diameter. It appears this is the
fresh air opening as the duct hose comes from there to the mixer box
attached to the firewall. My plan, until I can get it into a
maintenance shop or it gets warmer ,is to place some duct tape over
this opening. Does anyone see a problem with that ??? I hope to do it
Friday and then enjoy a warm cockpit.
