Steven.
My experience is that when the wing tanks start leaking, they are corroded and need to be taken apart. My advise would be to send the tank to John Wright Jr.217-698-8243, the master in tank repair. If you want to know about the procedure on what it takes to refurbish your tank, have a look at the pages here: http://www.ercoupe.info/?n=Main.TankRepair Hartmut CC: [email protected] From: [email protected] Date: Tue, 3 Feb 2009 21:34:52 -0800 Subject: [ercoupe-tech] Need a mechanic near Seattle to slosh a wing tank I am in Seattle have a leak in my wing tank and don't feel especially confident to slosh to myself - Especially after I cannot find a known leak by pressurizing the tank with a shop vac I think I would feel better paying someone to tackle the problem - any recommendations -- Steven M.
