Check in AC 43.13, Darrell. It tells all about corrosion; how to
recognize, etc. Usually sheet aluminum corrosion is recognized by
bumps around the rivets. It is going to be more likely around the
steel fittings.
The elevators and rudders don't have as high a likelihood, but still
should be looked at. The hardware on the `coupe I'm trying to sell
was replaced last annual.
Final note: If you replace the aileron, Be Sure that you order the
Correct Side. I boxed one up from a supplier and sent it only to hear
that it was the wrong side!
