Have you ever seen this before? It does not have an engine driven fuel pump. Thank you! Jose Jose, Are you saying your O-200 engine crank case has no provision for an engine driven fuel pump? I don't think I've ever heard of that, but, then, I'm no mechanic. Has the header tank been removed? If not, there's no need for a second fuel pump as the header tank gravity feeds to the engine and nothing is more reliable than that. With a header tank, the fuel pump (mechanical or electric) is just a transfer pump, keeping the header tank full at all times until the wing tanks are empty. Most of us use the header tank as our reserve, never using the fuel from it except in unusual situations or emergency. If, somehow, there were a model of O-200 with no provision for a fuel pump on a Coupe with no header tank, I'm sure the FAA would rather authorize two electrically driven fuel pumps than have you fly around with just one. That sure doesn't seem likely, to me. You'll either have the header tank or else you'll have one mechanical and one electric fuel pump. If you haven't already, please join us on the ercoupe-technical forum at: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ercoupe-tech/ and on the ercoupe-flyin forum (for off-topic discussions) http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ercoupe-flyin/ This would be a great question to post on the technical forum and I'm echoing it to that forum.
