I looked at a 1946 Ercoupe that had an O200 installed.  What struck me 
as odd was that as you look from the front of the cowl the cylinder on 
the right was almost pertruding from the cowl opening.  While the 
cylinder from the left cowl opening was easily 5 inches further back.
Is this the way they are supposed to fit?  

The owner said that the front cowl or, nose bowl I suppose, had to be 
enlarged to accomodate the O200.  Is this true?

Take a look at your front cowl openings and please share what you see.
