Sid. Not necessary and much simpler. The funnel is part of the can. The cans are on the ground before I pick them up, therefore any static charge has been discharged to ground. The plane discharges to the same ground the can was on. And the plane takes the grounding wire everywhere It goes and I don't need to handle it, clip it on or store it. I can't forget it, lose it or use it incorrectly. I don't really need the three way wire. Alan.
