VB-108 Liberator, of the British Royal Air Force was a modified American built B-24 Liberator Bomber. It was retrofitted at Litchfield Park, Arizona with a powered nose-turret housing a twin Browning .50 cal. machine guns. It was designed by Henry Berliner (ERCO #250 SH-1). The USN eventually acquired 977. Called PB4Y-1 Liberator which operated in the Atlantic and Pacific during W.W.II. (This information from latest Air Classics Magazine)
