Hello to the group. I am entering the far turn on my 415C restoration project. The wings are metal, and I will need to cut all the inspection holes soon. Even with the holes, I am not convinced everything is okay in there.
I was thinking, how about keeping the metal on the top, removing it from the bottom and then replacing just the bottom with fabric? If it could be done, legally and practically, it would be an interesting setup. Protection from the elements on the top, lightness and inspectability on the bottom. Enjoy spring!
