Was adding a quart of AeroShell to my Ercoupe the other day when one of my
"neighbors" stated that he ran Harley-Davidson Synthetic oil in his C75. As I
have freely admitted on this site, I'm not a mechanic nor do I play one on TV
so I wasn't going to argue with the guy. But I run H-D synthetic in my Harley
but wouldn't think of putting it in my airplane. His reasoning was that the HD
oil was just as good and half the price. Anyone heard of this and is it as bad
an idea as it sounds to me? Also, I need inlet plugs. One on each side of the
prop and one just below the spinner; found a bird's nest started in my engine
compartment after just four days of not being flown. I need suggestions on
where to get them besides aircraftcovers.com. Nothing wrong with theirs, mind
you, just want to comparison shop. Thanks!
