DATA PLATE INFORMATION;
Henry Berliner started the Engineering & Research Corp. in 1930 (ERCO).
During World War II, ERCO made many products under U.S. government contracts
including gun turrets and many sub contracted aircraft parts.
Before closing his company in 1947 he sold most of the inventory to Saunders
Aviation. The ERCO Data Plates were part of this inventory, but Saunders did
not want them. Further arrangements were also made with Sanders to purchased
Berliner's drawings, tools, parts. materials and distribution rights for the
Ercoupe.  Sanders continued to build Ercoupes using a new Sanders Aviation data
plates.
Originals of the data plate were purchased by me for a lot of bucks at an
antique market as aircraft memorabilia (& should be used as such) in Lancaster,
Pa.
1/16" thickness and all highly engraved and not printed.
If you're interested please let me know. I can send you a photo.
I have only (5) five left for $75. each
Thank you,
 Ed
