Met-Co-Aire had an STC to remove the "cant" and realign the engine mounts on the 415 so that is was straight. Supposedly it would make it go faster. How do I know this for sure? It was done on the 415 I am restoring and the paperwork is complete. There are welds in the middle of the engine mounts where it looks like it was shortened and lengthen to achieve their preceived improvements.
I wrote a Met-Co-Aire a couple times and asked if they had any more info on it but they never responded. Anybody have any experience or info on this modification? Chris Santa Cruz, CA ‘--o-O-o--’
