Sloshing compounds had been a proper way to fix leaky seems in our riveted tanks. Like William pointed out, ok in the former days. These days the cause for leaks is mainly corrosion. That you don't fix with a slosh, not even a fuel resistant one. All that it does is covering the corroded areas and creating a climate where the corrosion will grow even faster. Soon you will have even a bigger leak. A tank that suddenly starts seeping needs more attention and in most cases a total disassemble, cleanout, repair and reassemble is needed. A popped rivet is a sure sign of corrosion. No sloshing compound will fix that.
