Spoke to my interior guy today and asked about the weight of leather vs. vinyl.
He states that a good quality Naugahyde will weigh more than leather. The
poorer quality vinyl and leathers are probably something that would not last.
I didn't ask about fabric but we all can assume it would be lighter, even
aviation wool. Just had the seats redone on the Bonanza and opted out of
leather this time. Used vinyl with sheepskin inserts on pilot and copilot seat
and back. Had leather and it was a PITA to keep up. It may have been a low
quality leather as it lasted only 7 years.

So if you want to be a good liberal and save the animals Mohammed put onto this
planet, you will use fabric or leather for your next interior job. The North
American Nauga has been on the endangered species list for some time now.
