That's not quite true.? Here is what I said: "The gauge showed a tendency to
read high at both the 66 lb and 176 lb
test points.? While the average of several readings typically fell
within 5%, individual values occasionally fell outside the 5% range".

The highest individual readings recorded were 70 lbs and 190 lbs for the 66 and
176 lb test points respectively.? I still think that's impressive.

I would strongly recommend that before using them on an airplane, check the
accuracy and precision yourself somewhere within the range of intended use with
known test weights and appropriately sized cable.? It's easy to do.? I am
donating the required cables.? Also, I think it would be good to report your
results, especially if they are different than mine.

Bill would not let me reimburse him for his shipping cost to me so I will pay
shipping to Marvin and perhaps others down the list can take care of shipping
to the next person.? Should we insure these for more than $500.00 Bill?

Thanks once again for letting us use these.

Cheers,
Bill

tensiometers with calibrated (or close to calibrated) weights and found
they are well within 5% tollerance.
