I have both the B&C lightweight starter and alternator on my 415C model. Both have proven very reliable; however, the installations were time consuming. The starter is best installed while the engine is out of the airplane. The alternator is best installed while the interior is removed as one needs access to the firewall and battery areas for wiring changes and mounting the new regulator. In my opinion, B&C components are the highest quality of all the lightweight options.
