Group: I'm a one year owner of CD N94676 in restoration for the year I have
owned it. I and the "hangar caucus group" are curious about the function of
the "nutcracker" fairing assembly part No. 415-34019/43. I note that in
reviewing a large number of Ercoupe photos, it is installed only on about half
of them. I would assume there is some aerodynamic function involved with the
extended nose gear. But evidently it is not a required part of the airframe?
