I agree!

 

I have early C model (#752) and it had fuel shut off on panel.  I
eventually replaced with under the panel like D models I have seen.

 

I like it better - it cleans up the panel - and I 'always' shut off
before I exit the airplane.

 

There is no reason to leave fuel pressure on the carb.

Ed, I have a shut off on my instrument panel and I use it when I get out
of the plane. The needle valve in the carb leaks part of the time and it
saves fuel. I would use it even if I had the needle valve seated - a
person never knows when it will stick. Mike @ KDLL
