Perhaps one of the main gear brakes are dragging, or one side inoperative....causing the pkane to move in the direction of the good brake...... or dragging wheel..... One quick check is to slowly taxi in a straight line on level pavement...hands off control wheel....the coupe should track straight ahead ( no wind condition).. If it soes not, FIX the DRAG Problem, MLG, Brake, nose wheel alignment, etc... Prpoerly rigged and all wheels free to turn, the airplane cannot do anything except continue in the line it was mioving prior to touchdown. Remember to land on the main gear, holding the nose off until the plane is now traveling in the track direction; then allow the nose wheel to touch down, and steer to the ramp. Seems like we all want to make the plane more cult-like and mysterious when in fact the Ercoupe is probably the simplest to land of any airplane out there. It was designed that way. Remember the old ads back in the 1040's? Couldn't use them now but they used to say, "Even a WOMAN can fly it". My take is the Ercoupe lands like any other airplane except you don't have rudders to mess with in a crosswind. Land in a crab if you have to, then steer it down the runway with the yoke. Simple, just like it was designed to be. Bart
