Gary.
I am happy for you you analyzed and indicated your problem. And being a great aviator, you also admitted your problem and therefore could put the fix in. It seems to me that many pilots find it easier to align an airplane to a runway in a crosswind rather than aligning their aircraft to a flight path. Attention to detail has to be taken here and that detail is usually not being taught by flight schools. I used runway 36 and did some pattern work. I paid extra attention to flight path being centered, light on the controls, and all speeds in each part of the pattern. I must say, I never felt the plane pivot but.........when I let the nose down I tracking dead on center. I must say, I may not have been keeping my flight path as centered as I once thought. I was never far off, but always off just enough to make me unhappy. I hope in these docile conditions , the plane will do this in more rigorous winds. Or, perhaps I should say, I hope THE PILOT can duplicate tonights spot on landings. Thanks to all who responded , and as always, I appreciate your help.
