OK guys I hate to brag ,but it appears that I need to put an end to the landing controversy. With my many years of pilotage perfection I will now share my excellent technique. Try to keep up.
Enter the pattern on downwind at about 3500 AGL.This will ensure plenty of altitude and speed for the landing. Being a little high, roll the nose over and try not to exceed 180 mph while descending. Quickly announce that you are number 1 on a short final , knowing that the other 3 aircraft already on final will understand. Now start pulling back hard on the yoke with the wings at a 90 to the ground(try not to go inverted) to avoid overshooting the runway. Don't worry you can not stall or spin a Coupe. With the speed now slowed to around 140 mph , yank out all the throttle and and settle into a nice approach. Start your flair at about 12 feet agl , nose over if necessary and force her down. The first two bounces are usually rather tramatic.Dont worry about your alignment, she's down, eventually she WILL stop....Somewhere. Taxie to the hanger and put her away after another glorious day of flying.Knowing full well in your heart that if given the chance you could have been the greatest fighter pilot that ever lived.
