Guys.

As an Internet professional since 15 years, I would like to say that it is not
Microsoft's fault when people build websites that are only accessible under
certain circumstances.

The market share for web browser for the last quarter reads as follows:

Browser Market Share

Calendar Q2, 2009

Browser

Total Market Share

Microsoft Internet Explorer

65.85%

Firefox

22.39%

Safari

8.46%

Chrome

1.74%

Opera

0.70%

Netscape

0.56%

66% of all users are using Internet Explorer.

Making a site accessible only for IE users gives you only 66% of users. Making
it Firefox and Safari compatible should be a no-brainer.

I am using all browsers because it is part of my job and allow me to point out
that Internet Explorer in it's latest version 8 is astoundingly fast and a
modern browser as well.

For Mac users I can only recommend upgrading their browser to the latest
version of Safari and maybe installing Opera on the side. Opera I found very
speedy and filled with likeable features. Safari was very buggy in it's
beginnings and was barely usable.

Sorry, Ed, but IE has not been available on the Mac for years. I think it was
version 4. I hope we can do something about the web site because Internet
Exploder is losing share to the other faster browsers like Firefox, Safari,
Chrome, etc.

The pictures can only be seen if you use Internet Explorer. I’m afraid the web
page tool Skip uses is something non-standard and is not compatible with the
browsers that a large percentage of us use.

The last time I looked, some parts of the EOC website (like the front page)
have this same fault.

You’ve probably got IE lurking on your computer so fire it up and the pictures
should show.
