You might want to have your AI call your FSDO. They may consider this a minor alteration and not require a 337.

A few inches below this attachment point is a coupling where the flexible hose is attached to flex every time the gear goes up and down. In reality, a good portion of the flexing is also done by the aluminum tubing causing the bracket to cut into the aluminum line and cause a leak of brake fluid. This leak causes the brakes to fail. The modification consists in making an angle with a hole in it that is attached to the leg. A bulkhead fitting is assembled through the hole with the aluminum tubing attached to the top and the flex hose to the bottom. With this, the flexing is done by the hose only and the tubing is held rigid by the angle. I have a great looking diagram that explains all this clearly but have not discovered how to attach it here. All comments are welcome. Alan Fairclough N87333 N94694 _________________________________________________________________ Hotmail® has ever-growing storage!
