Hey Doug: As Hartmut said, No to TIG. A good metal smith can make a patch using flush rivets that will do the job very well. Lynn Nelsen In a message dated 7/13/2009 4:51:52 P.M. Eastern Daylight Time, [email protected] writes:
[_Attachment(s)_ (mip://060e3500/default.html#TopText) from Doug Wright included below] Photo attached. At a recent annual, the A&P stop-drilled a crack in the aluminum nosebowl of my 415C. As the picture shows, the crack has continued over into the air intake. Other than replacing the nosebowl, any suggestions? Would tig welding be an option?
