I asked the same question on this Server and a gentleman in Ohio said he had
one in his hangar he was not using and I could have it. The plastic was cracked
but the metal frame was good. I bought a piece of canopy plastic already cut to
size ( 19 3/4 X 28 )from Skyport for $ 35.00 plus shipping. A local shop that
is good at rivets installed the piece in the frame. Then went to WalMart,
bought a roll of the darkest tint film, installed it and it works very well. I
still have a few bubbles on the film but next week we are going to do an Annual
so plan to take the insert out and install another piece of film, trying to get
rid of the bubbles.

I talked to a Couper at the Convention in June that had one tinted and he said
to take the insert to local tint shop and they will tint it for a small price.
Called several places and none would tint plastic, only glass. But still
checking others.

The canopy insert really works great , not only for cutting sun glare, but with
the side windows down, the wind noise is gone and still plenty of fresh air
coming in the plane. Don't know if this setup helps me pick up the 5 MPH we
lose with the windows down, but what is 5 MPH when you are having fun.

Where would one find or buy a canopy insert to place between the slide
windows to help block the sun Thanks Rick N214RP CD
