Ok, I said I would report back tonight and I am. Winds were 270 @5 at 2000 CDT
in Menomonie,WI. I flew for 45 min, then turned for home. At 90 MPH downwind, I
set the trim for landing. Abeam the numbers, I pulled carb heat and reduced
throttle setting to 1500 RPM. Slickest approach I have made yet, felt the mains
as they kissed the runway SQUEAK as they aligned with the line of flight, and
nose gear touched and steered me 2 ft back to center!!!
VIOLA!
Thanks for all the tips to all of you coupe pilots, I have learned so much not
only flying, but how to fix stuff too.
Best to all,
Gary
