Folks,

I called Glenn, the current owner of the 415 CD we were looking to buy. I
wanted to set up a visit next week with my partner who hasn't seen the airplane
in person yet. Glenn said we were welcome to come, but he had decided to keep
the airplane and restore it to original as an antique. I take that to mean
after telling him everything it needed, he decided that if he was going to have
to put money into it to sell it, he would rather put more money in and flip the
airplane for a bigger profit.

Anyway, I'm trying to convince my partner we should still stay in the
Ercoupe/Forney/Alon market. We may take a look at Wayne Woollard's Alon, but
I'm also interested in any other 'coupes that might be available in the next
several months. We are looking for a good airplane with no corrosion issues
with a good engine that has some time left on it for a fair price. No
projects, no basket-cases, and no squirrely sellers! It does NOT have to be
LSA; in fact after running the W&B numbers on the CD I would prefer a "D" or
later that can handle two adults and full tanks. Rudder pedals strongly
preferred (I'm going to give my daughter her PPL in it). Mooneys OK, but no
straight tails!

Please post here or e-mail me at [email protected] if you think you know of
a 'coupe we would like!

Regards,
Dave
