Gosh, Tom, if you've got to tear the engine down enough to put in a replacement crankshaft, you might consider going to the C-85 with O-200 crankshaft STC and get more power. I don't know how much extra it would cost.
The normal props for Coupes are the McCauley 1a90 or 1b90. I think the difference is between round versus square tips. You'll want 71 inches long. For a C-85, flying at 2400 rpm, here are some numbers: 7146 100 mph fairly good climb 7148 104 mph decent climb 7150 108 mph climb OK if gross weight is low (i.e. 1260 or under) 7152 112 mph - maybe climb is getting marginal and if loaded may not get cruiser speed. If you had the O-200 crank conversion STC, you might do a bit better at each of these values. Your combination of 110 mph and 600-700 fpm climb don't seem to go together in my experience. Have you checked the accuracy of you airspeed indicator? Ed
