I use Foreflight for weather and airport information and really like
it. I bought it early on for an introductory price of $65, I think now
it's $75. There is no maintenance cost. I also bought their checklist,
mainly because I want to make sure they stay in business and keep my
weather planner current!
I will definitely look at this. And consider this - it's an excuse to
buy an iPhone!

AOPA has reported that "ForeFlight, the software company responsible
for the popular AOPA Airports app for iPhone and iPod touch, has
recently made another contribution to the general aviation
community. It’s called ForeFlight Charts 1.0, and it makes current
FAA sectional charts available on your iPhone or iPod touch devices.
The interface allows pilots to easily browse any U.S. sectional,
draw a route on it, and make simple calculations like fuel
consumption, distance, and heading. This application is downloadable
at Apple’s App Store, and a one-year subscription is $9.99 a year,
with the first year being included in the purchase price."
While I use a Mac, I don't use the iPhone (yet), nor am I in any way
connected with ForeFlight or Apple products.
Did think this capability neat, though.
