Hey Ed: Unless you get lucky and find a previously installed and approved
trim system like you have described, I suggest you have your local AI write
up a 337 as "found installed" on your 415-G and get it approved by the
local FSDO. This has been done in the past ( Maynard Smith comes to mind) by
other Ercouper's, and it will make your airplane legal. Bill very accurately
described how it could not have been put in as new.

Please bare with me on this. Here I go again. One more once.
Somewhere down the line the previous owner did a fine installation of the
trim on my "G" model.
It's bolted to the center section and located between the two seats?
(i.e., Alon or Forney)
Presently there is no paper trail (337s or entry's) that I can locate.
Does any Ercoupe owner have an elevator trim with indicator (& verner
knob) as described.
Thanks again
Prof. Ed
