I (and my A&P) are in the process of checking my rigging of the elevator on my
plane.  I have found two things that are not correct. 1) the tension of the
control cables were only 105-110 lbs (not the 160 to 190 lbs required) and 2)
the maximum up travel of my elevator from the 3-1/4" hole lacks (short)
1/2-5/8" of travel needed to hit the mark  (travels only 2-7/8" upward) and
therefore is not in the +- 1/8" tolerance.  the down travel is right on the
2-7/8 mark (within the +- 1/2" tolerance).

What is the process of correcting this?

Do I adjust the Elevator Push Rod length (from the control mast) and then
adjust the "elevator down cable turnbuckel" for the proper tension (as the "up
turnbuckel" is sealed for adjustment) or ???

Any one with this experience I would like to hear from.
