I've loaded the latest version of the FAA registration database into
FileMaker version 7. It contains all registrations (375,417 of them),
deregistrations, engines and aircraft models. The registrations have
been connected up to the aircraft models and engines, so everything
shows up in one search. I plan, at some point, to hook in the documents
as well.
So, if you have FileMaker versions 7, 8 or 9 and know how to use it
without any help (there are no buttons, scripts or other shortcuts),
send me an e-mail and I'll send you a copy as a Zip archive.
(Note: the database is provided as-is with no warranty or support of any
kind. If you don't have FileMaker and know how to use it, don't ask for
the database. And, no, I won't provide it in other formats. Anyone is
free to download the text version from the FAA. The files can be easily
imported into Excel, Access or OpenOffice.)
