I find it interesting that the original Ercoupe had aileron balance weights. As soon as we discovered a test to allow them to be taken off (simply checking the play), most of us did so. What is wrong with aileron balance weights? Why not have them? I doubt if the ailerons would ever flutter with them attached. Chris restoring 99674 previous owner of 99701
