My C-90 leaked through several of the rocker cover gaskets when I bought it.
But I have past experience of spending days trying to stop my old motorbike
leaking oil from chaincases etc.

So the first thing I did was to remove the covers, remove all gasket
material, then check the fit of the covers on the cylinder castings. All of
them rocked and were not flat. What happens is that the screws get
over-tightened to stop leaks and this distorts the covers around the screw
holes.

A few minutes is all it takes to carefully tap the areas in the covers
around the screw holes from the inside back out again untl the whole gasket
surface is flat. Check the fit until it is perfect. Then it doesn¹t matter
which gaskets you use or sealing compound, just don¹t over do the screws.
If you don¹t do this you are trying to fill a large and uneven gap between
the parts with gaskets and goo, not recommended.

Have fun,

Mike
