Once you get the rivets out of the fairing, you can gently bend the fairing down and reach in to hold the bucking bar. This will be easier if you remove the wings first and stand the airplane up on one gear so you can do the riveting job sitting up instead of lying down on your back. I have just started a year long, full-time course in aircraft structural repair at a local college as a retirement project, so skin removal and replacement will be within my capabilities in the next few months. My main belly skin, and the two skins on the left and right walk-boxes are pretty badly pitted and I was hoping to remove them and either repair or replace the skins, while at the same time doing some major cleaning, restoration to all those places that are so hard to see without such dismantling. I would like to hear from those who have done similar work about any hints or advice they have for others launching into such a project. I am particularly wondering about the rear-most line of rivets inboard of the trailing edge. They are regular bucked rivets but I see no way anyone with a normal sized hand could reach the back to buck them. Thanks in advance for any help. Also, if anyone has contact information for Bob from Cold Lake Alberta, that would be great. I have not been able to find his info on this list, although I know it is here somewhere.
