Lance, Be sure NOT to post the scanned article on the forum but post it on a separate website, instead. Then, just post a link to the article on the forum.
Since the copy of the article in the book is still in copyright, we don't want an entire article posted on the forum. I don't think they'd come after us/you but if they do come after you, you can remove it and apologize and most likely be OK. If you can find a copy of the original magazine article in a magazine and scan and post that, it should be out of copyright. When I first was thinking about buying my Coupe, I went to the Des Moines central library where they had magazine articles way back into the '30s and earlier. (Major university libraries may have even better archives.) I photocopied EVERY article about Ercoupes and Fred Weick and read just about every word published about Coupes before deciding to buy mine. Seeing as how those articles constituted my entire Ercoupe transition training, it was a darn good thing I did all that reading. Knowing I needed more, I then went out and did deliberate testing of how my Coupe flew in all modes. I sure wish I still had that stack of photocopies. No idea what happened to them. Ed
