[ercoupe-tech] Body work.......

I'm to the point on my rebuild that I need to start thinking of paint and 
colors.
I can't seem to find much information on the internet as to how "body work" is 
performed before the painting process.
The filling of minor dings and so on........the usual hanger rash so to speak.
I don't want to be so bold as to say it is performed the same as in the auto 
industry.....bondo,feather-lite and so on........
Can someone point me in the right direction to read up on this subject?
