HA! Yeah... Don't go there. Like Hartmut said, they are aluminum. Lots of folks have chrome spinners on lots of different aircraft and get away with it, but truth be told, it is illegal. Chrome plating changes the properties of the metal and makes it brittle. I just replaced two spinners equipped with alcohol de-ice on a Baron last week for that reason. Both were cracked. Expensive mistake made by the previous owner that the new owner had to pay for.
