I found Avemco to be happy to insure an LSA and cheaper than most. I've been 
insured by them for 
30+ years, used them on 3 claims and happy with the service each time. Be sure 
to ask insurers you 
contact if they will insure for the value of your plane. Many of those I talked 
to would only insure for 
the "book value" ($15,000 plus or minus) which doesn't take into account that 
an LSA coupe is worth
about 10K more than a model D and up. I'm paying about $900/year. (I, too, am a 
private pilot who 
has chosen to go LSA.)
