According to the service manual, "for a wing heavy condition, bend the trailing edge of the opposite aileron downward". Why not just trim the opposite aileron upward?

I tried that and it did not correct bad rigging. (It went went from one side to the other, and bending the edge cracked the paint, oh, joy!) This technique has been presented as the fix for "heavy wing" but it surely did not work for my plane. Oh, well...
