Ed,
So, how does he do it? Anxious 'Coupers are waiting to know....
(This would make a terrific stand-alone seminar at Nationals!)
For the first year or so of owning it, I never saw oil on the outside
of my 'Coupe. Ever since, no matter what any of the A&P/AIs do,
there's at least a little around the cowl door, and sometimes light
oil splatters on the landing gear or tail, too. Most recently, the
AI who did the annual this summer changed the crankshaft seal a
couple of times, and seemed to think that would stop it. While
there's less, there is still some. And with the Sky Sprite due back
from the painters in just a couple of weeks now, I'd *love* to get
that solved. While the suggestions of ever-changing oil-colored
paint schemes have a certain panache, it's not quite the decor I had
in mind...

Actually, I have seen one C-85 that leaked no oil.

There was not a drop of oil on the engine or anywhere else.
