I have been very happy with the AvMap GeoPilot I use; it is very thin and I attached it with Velcro to the glove box cover that is right behind my yoke. It is so thin that the yoke can go full forward w/o interference. It's easily put on & taken off, front & center so no problem seeing it, and it is wholly on the panel, so nothing blocks my view.
