Long time Ercouper and wonderful guy Bill Coons is in the
hospital/rehabilitation center due to a bout of pneumonia and pleurisy.
He hopes to be home for Christmas but can't be sure.

They are trying to build him up so he doesn't get heart damage from his
lack of air. Bill has outlived his doctor's prediction by two or three
years, so far, but, his lungs are down to less than 5% area.

If anyone would like to drop him a note, his e-mail is:
[email protected] His son bought him a laptop so he is online in
the hospital.

For you new members, it was Bill who first got FAA approval for the
spacers to bring the on-the-ground tail height back to specification,
taming our crosswind landings after decades of dangerous problems.

Bill also served for many years as a volunteer FAA Safety Counselor.
