Hello Tommy,
                          Yes, I've just read Ed's e-mail, now I
understand. Thank you very much for the explanation, this group is great.

Mery christmas to you and all the group.

2439H
Hello Daniel,
You are correct in all of what you wrote but the coupe I was referring to was a
regular production model, N2439H.  Fred boughtthat plane from ERCO when he left
to go to Texas A&M.  He kept it almost 10 years until he moved from Texasto
Floridato work for Piper.

Happy Christmas to you and all the Ercoupe bunch in South America.

If I remember well, Weick's experimental Coupe (or one of his experimentals)
had single vertical tail, which made it look conventional. The problem was to
maintain directional trim control unchanged as speed increased or decreased. To
achieve that, he had to cant the propeller axis to the right and also add area
to the vertical fin. Later, with the introduction of the two fins and rudders,
he noticed that the directional trim kept unchanged practically independent of
throttle setting, as vertical surfaces were outside the slipstrim. Anyway, to
overcome unsymmetrical effects, the propeller shaft axis was rotated some
degrees to the right (three degrees I think).

Best Regards

Fred Weick’s personal coupe was registered as EXPERIMENTAL at least twice.  If
I remember the story correctly, he was experimenting with props.

Hi everyone,
A friend has an Ercoupe, he's anA&P-AIfor Delta.
He will be doing considerable customizing on it.
The details are too numerable to list.
This will put the plane into the experimental category.
He's asked me to check it out.
So is there anyone who has an experimental category Ercoupe.
& Wishing you all a Happy Healthy Holiday too!
Prof. Ed
