In my Coupe, I found that my rudder pedals gave enough side slip to
counter up to about 15 mph of crosswind component in a stable,
longitudinal axis lined up with the runway glide.

With crosswind components higher than 15 mph, I leveled the wings and
landed in a crab.

(I did some experiments with crab then kick to line it up at the last
moment but just landing in a crab was much more effective. It's DESIGNED
for it!)

I willingly flew and landed with crosswind components up to 30 mph.

True, there were no other airplanes in the air when I did those high
wind speed flights. But it was SO MUCH FUN doing strong wind touch and
goes on the runway right in front of the local big airport flight school
and waving at them through the open canopy on each trip around. (evil
grin)
