Don,

In your case, you somehow got the message delivery set to only Special
Notices. I've reset that to individual e-mails. If that doesn't solve
the problem, let me know.

To discuss the issue for others with problems:

When a person is new to the forum, their first message is automatically
set to moderated. Thus, it can take a while before one of our four
moderators sees it and approves it. This has kept out some SPAM
riff-raff. Yahoo is supposed to automatically set the new member to
normal once that first message is approved but it doesn't always happen
and is not always quick (night time batch process?). Often, I'll
manually set the new person to normal to be sure a hot
question/discussion can continue without delay.

We have the "return" address set so, if you just hit <Reply> you will
send the message ONLY to the originator of the message to which you are
replying. This almost eliminates all the "me too" type of responses.

Do check the address line before you send the message to be sure it's
what you want.

If the response is important, I will sometimes send it directly to the
questioner as well as the forum. This ensures the questioner will get
the answer ASAP but also shares the knowledge with the forum.

I put the forum e-mail into my address book with a fast-to-type name. I
use "ety" for tech and "efy" for flyin. So, when I want to send a
message to the forum, I just type ety in the address line and the
program fills in the actual e-mail address. Those addresses are:
[email protected] and [email protected]

On this and other forums, we've seen a strange artifact whereby messages
we send don't echo back to us, yet they do go to everyone else. If your
message doesn't come back to you in a reasonable time (as adjusted by
kiddie messaging volume) then sometimes it's good to check the forum to
see if your message is showing there.

In extremity, contact me and I'll work on it with you. At least once,
we had to have the person unsubscribe completely then turn around and
subscribe again before we could solve the problem.

We **should** be able to get everyone enabled to post to the forum.
