Ken I am having an uncut top cowling laying around. Used, from a flying Ercoupe.
It is possible to have that type of cowling. First with unshielded spark plugs that use the spark plug cans: http://www.ercoupe.info/?n=Main.PlugCans Second with REM37Y plugs that are shorter than the REM41E and might fit under the cowling with the right harness.
