I also have a 'G' model and my back seat attaches to the plane with three steel
pins that use cotter pins to keep the pins in place.  There is 3 metal brackets
at the base of the back of the seats that you place the metal brackets from the
back into and then pin them in place.  It is a pain in the neck to get the
cotter pins in and also the pins are nothing to brag about.  I have had mine
out several times in the past few months and believe me it is no fun.  The seat
back does just lay back against a metal stop on each side and it will move
forward about 12 inches for getting into the back cargo area.  I hope that
helps - Jerry

I recently purchased a seat from a 415 G with plans to install it in my 415 C.
I soon discovered the G seat is not an exact replacement as the back is much
lower . I have hopes of getting it installed but it sure would be helpful if a
415G owner would contact me  and maybe sent a photo of how it anchors, what
does the seat back tie into? Thanks.
