[ercoupe-tech] Elevator trim tab fabrication

I bought an early 415C (SN 977), which does not have a trim tab on the 
elevator, only a rubber band on a crank to the control yoke.
I did not realize it, but that makes it impossible to put the 1320 STC on it, 
unless I install a different elevator, big bucks.
Has anyone modified an early elevator by adding a trim tab?
