Internet Security 2010 imitates a system scan and reports many false system security threats. Then it will redirect its victims to vs-codec-pro.net where it is asked to pay for a full version of the program to remove those security issues or infections. However, do not buy it - this is a scam.
More about this here: http://www.2-spyware.com/remove-internet-security-2010.html If you think you are affected, don't panic. This scam is not setup to destroy your computer. To the contrary. It needs your computer to get to their site and pay whatever they ask you to pay. Don't do that. Don't panik and just use a trojan horse removing software that is part of the page above or use the free security software here http://free.avg.com/ Hartmut To: [email protected]; [email protected] From: [email protected] Date: Sat, 16 Jan 2010 08:05:44 -0800 Subject: Re: [ercoupe-tech] Re: keep 'em flying Kim's Ercoupe I got the same thing, whats going on? As I was reading the mails on the subject my PC stalled and the result was a crash and burn. I got hit with a virus called Internet Security 2010 and now my main PC will no longer boot to windows even after running Super Antispyware and doing a windows repair. Be careful going there as I was running McAffee at the time and it did not detect it.... Ken PS...
